Olympic Dental Center is a neighborhood dental practice in north Ballard. Dr. Harris and his long-term staff have been delivering quality, personal care to Seattle families for more than 30 years. From the breadth of services we offer, to the joking and story-telling you’ll hear in our office, our practice is truly unique.
We know that “going to the dentist” – or choosing a new dentist – is not everyone’s favorite activity. But we’re always happy to see you, because developing relationships with our patients is definitely the best part of our jobs!
About Dr. Michael R. Harris, D.D.S.
Dr. Michael R. Harris, D.D.S has more than 30 years’ experience practicing general dentistry in Ballard. He is dedicated to offering patients the highest quality of care, and the comfort that comes from developing a long-term relationship with a trusted health care provider. Dr. Harris practices a wide range of treatments, ensuring minimal need for referrals to other providers. He actively pursues continuing education and information on the latest treatment techniques.
Dr. Harris graduated from the University of Washington School of Dentistry and received his bachelor of science degree in zoology from UW. (His love for the Huskies has only grown in the intervening years.) Dr. Harris brings a wide range of personal interests to his lively chair-side conversations and his relationships with his patients. He shares his passion for Seattle sports teams, meteorology, historical nonfiction and nature photography… as well as stories collected from adventures in world travel, boating and hiking in the San Juan Islands, walking his dog, Desi, and beating men 30 years his junior at golf!

Every member of our team brings more than a decade of experience to her work. We love our practice for the same reasons our patients do: the emphasis on quality, personal care and long-term relationships. Our clinical staff includes two hygienists and two dental assistants. Our patient care managers are always here to help you plan your next appointment, understand your insurance benefits and answer any questions you may have.
Office Policies and Hours
We request a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellation of your appointment. Cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in a $50 cancellation fee.
If you need to cancel or change your appointment, please give us a call at 206-789-2555 and we will be happy to work with you to reschedule. Our appointments are carefully tailored to the time needed for each treatment, and we work to accommodate your schedule with as much flexibility as possible.
